Magic Canonic ViewFinder provides a precise framing preview for the camera/lens combination you'll be shooting with. It offers a simulated field of view of digital cameras and lenses, making it a valuable tool for professionals in the filmmaking industry during preproduction.

Please note that this app does not convert your Apple device into an external monitor. Instead, it functions as a standalone director's viewfinder.

The app includes ad banners, but you have the option to disable them through an in-app purchase in the 'About the App' menu.

With Magic ViewFinder, you can accurately visualize the field of view for your upcoming shots. Simply select the camera from the menu and use the wheel to choose the focal length of the lens.

The app supports a variety of cameras, including Full Frame and APS-C cropped sensors. It also simulates the use of tele-adapters or anamorphic optics on your camera. Furthermore, you can customize the aspect ratio of the frame guide overlaying your image.

Magic ViewFinder allows you to apply color presets (known as LUTs) to the live picture, providing you with a preview that closely resembles your desired final shot.

You can capture images or videos for future reference, including additional data such as focal length, date/time, and camera/lens information. During capture, you have control over exposure locking and autofocus activation.

The app grants you options to enable autofocus mode, temporarily lock focus, or manually tap on specific objects on the live screen to focus.

White balance can be set to Auto, Locked, or Manual mode.

If your real camera's field of view is wider than that of your in-device camera, the app will add 'padding' around the image since the device cannot capture what is beyond its capabilities.

It's important to note that the position of your iPhone or iPad should correspond to the 'nodal point' of your real lens, which is essentially the weighted center of the optics.

The app's ads are intentionally designed to be non-intrusive. However, if you prefer an ad-free experience, you can disable them using the options located below.
